Make A Difference

November 18

Psalm 82:3

“Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.”

Often times it is very easy to turn a blind eye to the evil and wickedness that people commit. Someone can see an individual mistreating another person in a public or private area and choose to be quite about. They will see someone being cheated right under their nose and they infinite it’s claiming it’s none of their business, or claiming they do not want to be involved in other people’s lives. Although it’s always easier to turn a blind eye to the reality that is around us, it is not  right.

What if you are the only person who knows what wickedness or injustice is being placed on someone and yet you choose to look the other way? You become just like those who are committing these evil works. If you have been put in a position where you have power or even a position where you have the ability to simply speak, be sure to do it. Be sure to stand up for those who are being oppressed around you or those who are being ignored or treated unfairly. Praying to God to free someone is great, but sometimes God gives you what is needed to be the person who brings the solution, or in some cases just the one who initiated the solution. Whenever you can help someone do you best to help them. What we often do is pray for something else to come help, while eliminating ourselves completely from the equation. You don’t need to wait until you have a big platform to promote change. Do it now, even if it’s just at your work place, it is enough. God needs children who will stand up for what is right and not just overlook what they see. You have the power to make a difference. Use it.
