Mark 4:38

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

Jesus is Lord. How often have you spoken those words. For most Christians that’s more of a saying to us, but have you ever stopped to consider how powerful that statement is. It means Jesus is all in all. It means He has power over all. It means when He speaks no one can speak neither can anyone contend with His might nor His power. Now ask yourself why do you speak those words yet fear so much. Christ has the ultimate power over everything. It makes no sense to have such a force of power before and behind you and yet you operate in so much fear.

Understand that God is doing this life with you. There is nothing new under the sun, and there is nothing you are going through that Christ did not endure. Understand that if you are a child of God you will always be on the winning fence even in moments that seem defeating and horrifying. Do not allow your faith to waver when life begins to get rocky and the storms rages a bit louder than they usually do. The storms are meant to be times that we build our faith and press on, not times we begin to question God and His abilities or His love. He is in every boat with you, so hold on to Him and to your faith, knowing that in all things Jesus is Lord and He has power and authority over all situations.
