Psalm 5:11

“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.”

In reality, it is God, in whom we all ought to take refuge. But what do we really refuge in? Is it your career, or your family, or is it your degree and the career you own.  All the worldly things that we take refuge in will fail us at one point or another in your life. In the same sense, things of this world are prone to cause us frustration, but God never fails us.

If our refuge is in God we are completely safe. If our dwelling is in God then absolutely nothing or anyone can get a hold of us because He will guide us, protect us, keep us, order our steps, and everything in between. So if your refuge is in God then rejoice and be glad because you are covered beyond measure. But if it is in anything else then it’s time you re-evaluated certain things and turn over to God!

Rejoice because you are in God! Jump for joy because the covering of God is over you. Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, for the Savior with you.
