Which Suffering

June 28

1 Peter 4:19

“So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you”.

If we all had our way no one will choose any form of suffering because no one likes the idea of suffering. However, at some point in our lives, we all have to go through some form of it. The question is whether we’re suffering with a Godly purpose or suffering from our carelessness. There are times where God allows certain things to happen in our lives, with the intention of making us stronger in our faith and building us as better individuals all around.

On the other side of that sometimes our suffering is because of a bad decision that we intentionally or unintentionally made. In some instances, we find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation because of an inconvenience from helping others or dedicating our time to others.  Some suffering is unnecessary but some have a great purpose because it’s for Gods kingdom.

Ask yourself today what am I suffering for? Are you suffering for unnecessary actions or for the sake of God? If you are suffering unnecessarily then you can remove yourself from that suffering, but if you are going through something that pleases God and pushes His Kingdom then stand firm and fight on. Take joy in suffering for the Kingdom and be rest assured that God sees you and He will reward you.
