Mattew 8:25-27 NIV “The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! Weʼre going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
How often do you allow the storms in your life to speak louder than the voice of God? How often do you panic when the billows roll and how quick are you to question God and to throw in the towel when the going gets tough? And lastly how often do you forget that He is the Lord of lords? Many times we get so weary and so concerned with everything around us that we forget the power and the might of God. We forget that He is the God over ALL things the one with ALL authority.
More often than it is acceptable we get overwhelmed with the frustration of life, the storms that tend to sometimes overtake us, or the waves that at times seems to overpower. But I want to encourage you to have faith and hold on to God. He is the God who can silence even the seas. So take heart and know that He will make still every storm and every wind that is roaring in your life. He will always rise up on your behalf and fight for you. So commit all your ways into His hands. You belong to the one who has control over everything. Take joy in that knowledge that the one who is mighty to save is your father. Do not fearfully tell Him about your storms, rather boldly tell your storms about your father.
