Proverbs 18:11
“The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.”
The only sure thing we have in this life is our Lord God Jesus Christ. He is the only one who will remain forever even the the earth and all it’s riches passes away. He is the only wise King, and the immovable Lord. Many of us put our trust in ourselves. In the degree we hold, the position we occupy, the influence we have and many other material and measurable things. On the contrary our greatest and our defense our greatest gift is Christ. It is the one who was and is and is to come. It’s the one who’s name is greater and powerful than any other. He is our great defense. Our Lord and rescue in times of trouble.
The accolades will come and go. The power will also pass away the only constant is our Father in heaven. Therefore do not be weary and do not put your trust in unstable elements. He gives wealth accompanied with peace, joy, etc. Do not be deceived by the wealth of this world and do not forsake your King because of it.
