1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
There’s freedom in God’s word. There is indeed a feel of liberty that comes with knowing the truth of God’s word for yourself. Here is a beautiful truth, “but God who is faithful will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able.” The first beauty is that you will get tempted in more ways than one, but the most beautiful of all is that you can handle every temptation and overcome every trial with the grace of God. The beauty is not in hoping that temptation will go far from you because it won’t, even Jesus was tempted. It is rather in the fact that no matter the temptation, irrespective of how strong that temptation may be the Lord is telling you that it will not be more powerful than you. You will be able to make it out of any temptation that tails you.
Too often we say that God won’t give us more than we can bare, bu because we don’t truly believe that we always allow the things we are facing to overcome us. If He won’t give you more than you can bare then it means you can defeat what ever storm you are in. It means He will provide you with a way out, and along with that He will empower you. What are you facing in your life? Turn to that issue, that season and declare to it that you are an overcomer and you will come out victorious because your God has given you what you need to endure and come out on top. Encourage yourself in whatever it may be and know that God is with you now and always.
