Malachi 3:6
“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”
The beautiful thing about the God we serve is that He is the unchangeable God. Because He does not change we have no cause to fear. Because He does not change we have the hope that we have been saved, redeemed, sanctified, justified, called, changed…… all at not cost of our own but by His grace.
Imagine being in a relationship with someone who changeth not. Think of the freedom and peace that comes with it, that’s exactly what we have with God. He changeth not irrespective of our behavior, our decisions, shortcomings, inabilities or even our abilities.
He is God outside of us. This is the God we serve. The one who was and is and is to come. The covenant He had with our forefathers still stands, therefore He is and will always be with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us, and because of Him we are saved and will not be destroyed. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob will never change. His mercy and grace still work in our lives. Be reminded of His faithfulness, His goodness, kindness, and covenant and know that those things still remain. He does not, He has not changed and He will not change.
