It is very important to keep the word of God close to our hearts. Throughout the Bible, we are made to understand that it is the very guide for our life. It is the compass that leads us through life and the source that has the answers to every possible question we may ever have. Because God is the All-knowing and Everlasting God, He already made provisions for us even before the beginning of time. He was sure to place everything we will ever need in His word, that we may not suffer to find answers for different seasons of life.

We have the answer to every question we may ever have in our reach but yet we are clueless. We are oblivious because we do not take the time to study and meditate on the answer guide which is our bible. Look at this example, a teacher has given you a study guide and along with that study guide He also gave you an answer guide. However, rather than studying both the study guide along with the answer sheet you focus only on the problems. Now if this is the case when you go into the examination room, you realize that you are familiar with every problem but you do not know any of the answers.

Sadly that is where most Christians find themselves. We find ourselves being familiar with every life problem, yet not knowing how to get through them or what to do about it because we never take the time to meditate on the answer key(our bible). Success and answers to all life incidents will come through the studying and meditation of the word. No one can study the word for us. We have to discipline ourselves and make sure we are literally taking in our daily bread. We have to take the word of God to heart and live by it.

Keep it always on your lips. Do everything it says and you will never be found wanting. The Word is the only source that will take you through this life, but without it, you will surely fail. Wrap yourself in the Word and allow it to work in your life.

Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
