Psalm 37:7 NLT
“Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.”
When was the last time you practiced being still in the presence of the Lord. Many times we go into the presence of God with so many premeditated thoughts and issues in our minds to pour out to Him. For this reason very seldom do we sit silently in His presence because we’re so focused on everything else.
It so important that we practice being still in His presence. If we learn to be listeners more than we are talkers and complainers we will be able to receive so much from the Lord. We have to understand that the Lord is always willing to talk to us and share mysteries with us if we open us ourselves and allow Him speak.
We need to take a moment and be still, and wait on the Lord. To quiet the chatter of our minds and focus on God. Do not let the plots of the enemy shake you. Do not let anything he has planned move you. Rather be still in the Lord. Do not worry or be anxious, sit at the feet of the Lord and experience His presence this day. God knows what He’s doing and He does everything in the time and manner which works for our good. So be still and know that He is indeed God and in His presence there surely is fullness of joy.
