Ecclesiastes 7:8

Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools.”

It is absolutely no benefit to you to hold on to grudges. As you hold on to anger you’re the one that suffers loss. In most instances, the person you have a grudge against is living their lives being merry and joyous while you live in sadness. Never give the power of your emotions especially your joy away to someone who can care less about your wellbeing. Do not become a fool on the account of someone else, because it is of no benefit to you.

The truth of the matter is being angry for a moment doesn’t make you a fool nor a sinner but keeping it in your heart and living in it is where the problem lies. Anger is an emotion that we will all experience at one point or another in our life. However, the question that needs to be addressed is whether anger controls us or we control it. As a human being who has blood flowing through his or her veins anger will in one way or another find you even when you are not looking for it, but it is in the manner which you address it that counts.

Take control of your own emotions and say no to anger residing in your heart. Anger can pass by if it wants to, but it should never be invited to stay because if you give it the room it will wreak havoc.
