Romans 11:22
“Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.”
We have all heard the saying you get what you deserve. In our case, as Christians, we don’t always get what we deserve because our God always shows us more mercy and grace that we can ever imagine, however, He is also a God who exercises fairness. In all His kindness He is just and He definitely fulfills the role of His justness whenever necessary.
Disobedience is one thing that will always have us cornered. As we see in scripture our disobedience can put us in the bad books with God. It puts a strain on our relationship and makes it difficult for us to grow with the Lord. Disobedience also causes the face of God to turn away from us, however, He shows kindness to those who trust in Him. Although we often get more grace than we deserve from God, we should not be fooled by His kindness because He is a God of justice and will exert that justice when necessary.
Do not be fooled into taking advantage of the kindness of God. He is kind to us all but disobedience always comes at a cost. Trust Him and do as He commands so that you do not find yourself suffering in the end. Obey the Lord in all your endeavors and in all your ways that you may find kindness and favor in Him.
