Do Good To All

March 31

As human beings we absolutely love logic. We tend to need a reason for everything we do. We seek logic in loving like Christ, in showing kindness and compassion and even in being a trustworthy person. The Bible is clear in telling us to never withhold good from anyone. To those who deserve it and to those who don’t, we still have a duty to give freely unto them the good things we have received. We don’t only give to those who have given us but to everyone we meet.

Do not get in the habit of choosing who deserves and who doesn’t because everyone deserves to be loved and treated right regardless of what you think of the person. God loves, and is in love with the person you hate, so deciding who receives love or good deeds isn’t in your place. Do not take over Gods job of deciding who deserves and who doesn’t, He is the Judge and the King and He has commanded you to love, therefore your duty is to love. What’s in your power to do is showing the Genuine Love of God to all men and doing as much good as you have the power to do. In all your ways let your good deeds go ahead of you! And let the love of God engulf you.

Proverbs 3:27-28

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you.”
