Matthew 15:35-36
“He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.”
Nothing in our lives will change as long as we have it in our own hands, because God is the one who is able to take nothing and make it into something. Take a look at this scripture, the seven loaves and fish remained 7 loaves and fish and would have remained that way if it wasn’t given over to Christ. It is only when it was put in the hands of Jesus that it began to multiply. Increase comes only from Christ.
He saw their need for food and began to look for a way even before they themselves saw a need for food. Nonetheless, the increase was brought about because Christ took hold of the little they had. Another beautiful thing is praise. You see, Jesus did not take the bread and fish and complain. ( oh God this is all we have, why have you not given us more? Why have you not provided? Rather He immediately gave thanks. There is power and Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has the ability to change your situation. God through our thanksgiving our praise and our worship can move mountains in our lives. He can calm down those storms of our lives simply through our thanks. Be reminded that what is given into God’s hands can only increase, therefore do not take life and do with it as you please. Give it over to God and thank Him every moment of it.
