Acts 17:11 “Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”
In a time such as this, where things seems to be unclear and frightening, it is now more than ever that we need to keep ourselves grounded and rooted in the truth of the word. In the current times that we live in there are so many different lies and deception leaking out and destroying men and women alike.
It is in these times that we ought to be more fervent in our word. We can no longer give everything to chance. We must learn and search the words for ourselves. There is no luxury in hearing the word and following blindly. The word of God is true, Yes, however not every man or women who preaches the word speaks the truth. With all the deception in the world you must drown yourself in the Word. It is the word the will keep you sane and it’s that same word that will guide and guard you. It is too dangerous of a world to take the word of anyone at first hearing without deeper search, not even the preacher.
Just as the Bereans , you must always go back to search the word. Do no get lost in this world without God’s word. Examine His word daily and allow it to lead you especially in these times of uncertainty and deception. Let the word word supreme in your heart.
