God’s focus isn’t what we are focused on. He looks far deeper into a man than just the physical appearance and doings. 1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV “But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see….” As humans, we care too much about what people think of us or of how they see us. We focus too much of our attention on how others might feel towards us. We at times try to change our true personalities or even identities to fit what we feel is appealing, and this is absurd because our focus should never be on pleasing man or painting a perfect picture.
Truth be told the wants and desires as well as the things that appeal to man always changes. One day we like this the next day we do not. The most important thing is that God’s focus is not on your outward look or your outward works but rather on your heart. His concern is the motives and thoughts of it. So rather than doing A-Z to perfect your outward appearance do all you can to make sure your heart is purified and clean and in the right place. That’s where the attention should be, so don’t worry too much about your outward look, but put time into your hearts.
Always Remember the person that everyone is so fond of will not always be the choice of God because everyone makes decisions based on what they see and on what they know, but God can see the deep crevices of our heart and that is what He bases His decision on. Do not be dismayed if you are not chosen by man, worry only about being chosen by God.
