“For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—”
Our confidence is in the Lord. It is in His love, His saving grace, the power of His resurrection, and His death on the cross. Our confidence is in His mercy and loving-kindness, His patience and His discipline. It is in the very fact that He is God, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. He is the very being we boast in because He is our assurance. We boast in Him and not the flesh. Our flesh can only fail us, but if we put our all in Christ, we can stand.
He can do all things. He is the very reason for your salvation and the reason for your life. Put no trust or confidence in yourself. Trust not in your power and might, for it is the power of your father in heaven that keeps you going. You are children of the great salvation, put your heart, and your trust in the Lord. In His resurrection power and His grace. Put your faith in His faithfulness and His love. As His children, you have been saved into His kingdom, rely on Him, have faith in Him, and be optimistic about who you have become in Him. Boast not in yourself, but in the undying love of the savior that has brought you this far.
