And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
God has the power to give us all that we ever need and all that we will ever want. He is even able to give us a new heart. There are certain instances in our lives that we just go through it. Through pain, mess, darkness, etc. Times where we see that our hearts are obviously hardened like stone. Where become unshaken by the word and commands of God simply because our hearts have become stoney.
In these instances, God is still Lord and He is able to turn our hearts into flesh. Though God can do all these things the question is do trust and believe that He is able? He offers us a new heart and a new spirit. The reality is, it is through our hearts that all the issues of lives flow from. If our heart is in a pool of mess the very life we live reflects that. We are meant to look like Christ. We are meant to represent Him. In knowing this the only way we can be an exact representation of Him is by receiving a new heart and a new spirit. Let us, therefore, receive from God what only He can give us wholeheartedly.
