Romans 12:9
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
Think about this. How would you feel if you found that someone whom you’ve been friends with for the last 10 years, or the person you’ve been dating or married to for years has been pretending that they love you when in actuality they do not. Now think of the memories you’ve made and all that you’ve built with them also being a lie, and think of how that will make you feel.
If you have a heart at all or any emotion to go with it that is something that will tear you apart. It is important not to pretend to love others. Just as Christ loves us wholeheartedly and unconditionally and has given his life for us so we also ought to love with all of our hearts. We must love the way that He loves us. There is no reason why you should show false love to anyone. Love ought to be genuine just as it is from the father. Love comes so easily and genuinely when you have the love of God inside of you.
In all the only way to love truly is through Him. The only way to love is with Gods love. With that knowledge it is important for you to seek God and ask for His love to overflow and overtake you. Do not be afraid to ask Him for grace and to teach you how to love after all He is the one that gives it.
