There are some things that our heads are able to accept but our hearts aren’t able to do as easily. Some things we wrap our heads around very well while still struggling to grab hold of it with our hearts. There are times where your heart will get in the way. Instances will come where we will try to take control of our own lives simply because our hearts aren’t at peace with one thing or another. The word of God trumps everything, therefore we should not allow our emotions to dictate our decisions or our circumstances.
If we know that the word of God says to forgive others as He forgives us, we should not linger in unforgiveness. We should ask God to work in our hearts and grant us the grace to forgive rather than waiting until we feel our hearts are intact and ready to offer forgiveness. We need to just trust God. Literally just trust Him with everything.
Psalms 112:7 “They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.”
Do not fear what will be thrown your way. Do not be afraid of the things you do not have control over. Do not allow your heart to grow weary. Do not fear. Trust that God will fight for you, and know that sometimes the desires of your heart will not necessarily line up with His. Irrespective of that let His Word always remain true in your life. Just trust Him. As hard as we make it for ourselves it is really just that simple.
Trust Him.
