Jeremiah 17:10
“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
Far too often we misconstrue what God is searching for. Many times we feel that if we do one thing or the other we will be good with the Lord. I want to remind us all that God is not a man. He is not worried about the surface matter. He searches deeper than we can even go. He will not reward you for grudgingly giving to another, or offering help with a heart filled with animosity and hatred. It’s doesn’t matter that man cannot see beyond the creased smiles we often throw out. God can and He can see farther than we can imagine.
Do not be fooled into thinking that you can fool God the way you can fool man. God is God and that is that. Search your heart therefore and test yourself. If you are not aware of your hearts positioning ask God and He will reveal it to you. Be your own keeper, search your heart as often as necessary and uproot any and everything that is contrary to the Lord. Be concerned with that which concerns the Lord. Do not be bothered by anything else. Do not be sidetracked, be true to yourself. Focus on what God is concerned about. Take heart, He is creator and keeper of your heart, so take it to Him and allow Him to work on you.
