Isaiah 43:25
“I Alone I–yes, I alone–will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.”
Why do you hold so strongly unto what is meant to be forgotten? Why do we refuse to let go of what God Almighty Himself has let go? In reality, there is no way we can ever be good enough to rescue ourselves from sin. There is no way we can ever pay the price of it. It is only God who can wipe away our sins because of His great and unconditional love for us.
The Blood of the Lamb is the only thing that can completely wipe away our sins. Not our wealth, our beauty, our accolades, or any other thing can rescue us. Not only is He the only one who can take away our sins, He is the only one who has the power to give us the ability to forgive and forget. The source of this power is rooted in love. Without love, we are truly unable to forgive and forget.
Open up your heart and allow God to pour out His love into your hearts. Do not allow yourself to dwell on your past sins. Let go of what God has already sorted out. Do not hold so dearly on to what He has forgiven you of. If He has forgiven you, you are forgiven. Forgive yourself because His grace has given you that power. Be free the bondage of your past and live fully for the Lord.
