Isaiah 1:15-17“When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”‭‭

Humans are inherently evil. It is the grace of God that alters our hearts and makes us like Christ. Many of us are give in to sin  willingly because it may feel good in the moment or because we may gain some temporary pleasure and victory. Many of us sin intentionally, and almost immediately after we sin we go the the Lord asking Him for forgiveness. We indulge in wickedness and everything in between. We however are the same people to ask for mercy while making empty promises of repentance. Those intentionally accidental sins must stop. We must stop taking advantage of the mercies of God. It is one thing to genuinely fall and ask for mercy, but it is something completely different to intentionally engage in sin consistently only to ask for forgiveness each time because you know the Lord is merciful. Do not mistaken the mercies of God for a joke.

It is time we as a people shunned away from sin. It is time we wash our hands and make ourselves clean. The Lord is tired of our evil deeds. Thank God that God is not man because if He were, we all as men would have already perished. Thank God that He is God and we’re not. Stop sinning on purpose only to run for forgiveness almost immediately. We must stop doing wrong because we have the power do so.  Learn to do what is right. Learn to seek Him. Learn to seek justice and do the things that bring glory and honor to Him. The Lord is sick of the offering we offer after our sins  as formality with the intention of going back to our sins. The time to change your ways is now. Wash your hands of evil and do what is right.
