John 15:2

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”

Pruning is a painful but rewarding process. Though it never feels good when you’re going through that phase in your life it is very paramount that we allow ourselves the opportunity of being pruned. Pruning is necessary for each and everyone’s growth. Do not staunch your your growth by by hindering your own process. Allow yourself room for improvement and growth. Do not be upset when your go through difficult times.

It is always going to be painful when God cuts off one of your branches. If you’re not careful you will turn against God. Then what is meant to be a rewarding process now becomes something that creates a stumbling block between you and God. We ought to be glad and grateful throughout our pruning process. Give yourself over to God and allow Him to go what’s best for you. Do not hold onto to unnecessary things and later wish God would’ve taken it away quicker. God will stop you if He sees you heading in the wrong path but you first have to allow Him. Only then will you be able to really grow. Allow yourself the opportunity to be pruned. It will all pay off in the end.
