Exodus 13:17
“When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”
Although you may not see it clearly the Lord is always fighting for you. He is always making room for you and making sure your steps are guided.
There are instances that the Lord will take you on the longer path of your journey not because He hates you but because He loves you. Just as we see in scripture, during the exodus of the Israelites the there were easier paths laid before them that the Lord could have used but in His infinite wisdom He choose a longer path because He knew that at the first sight of trouble the Israelites will choose to return to bondage. This is true also for your Christian journey. Sometimes the Lord you take you on different paths because He knows the future and He knows the decision you will make at the first sight of trouble. Trust the Lord therefore in every situation. Know that no matter where the Lord leads you it is because that’s where you ought to be. Do not doubt God. Trust His leadings and promptings being confident that He is for you.
