1 Corinthians 10:12
If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.
It is very easy to think to yourself that you are in a good place while in actuality you are not. The deceptions around us especially in our world today are great. One can easily loose themselves if they are not grounded in the word of God or are not actively seeking to live life in the manner in which they have been called to live as believers.
Deception is one of those things that will hold strongly unto a man and do whatever it takes to take him out. As a believer your only way out of deception is by virtue of knowing the truth which is the word of God. The only thing However is that knowing the truth requires one to search for it in scripture. Most believe are deceived because they do not know the truth and they lack knowledge of the truth because they fail to seek after it. In the manner in which you seek after success and happiness and many other things in this fading life, so you ought to seek after the truth even more.
Be careful of where you think you are standing because deception walks in silence and it leaps forth unbeknownst to you. Do not think of yourselves as wise above all. Check where you are in your walk even at this moment and ensure deception is not silently sweeping you away. Ask the Lord for grace and He shall give it unto you.
