Ephesians 2:9-10
“Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
In this world that we’re living in almost everything in it requires us to work hard in order to attain. Whether it be a living, an education, trust, respect, etc. we have to put out before we can get anything. But, contrary to the ways of this world, God doesn’t ask us to work for His love. He does not ask us to work for His salvation. With that being said there is nothing we can even do to earn God’s love or salvation if He asks us to.
It is by grace alone that He loves you. It is by His grace alone that we can ever receive salvation. Nothing can make Him love you less and nothing can make Him love you more! So do not allow anything you’ve done in your past stop you from going to God because His love for you is based on Him and not on you. So open up to Him and allow Him to do a working in you!
There are instances that we all think that our good deeds will gain us more love and our bad deed will take God’s love from us. He is still God outside of us. He loves us because of Himself and saves us because of Himself.
