Jeremiah 18:6

“He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.”

Never have I ever seen clay questioning it master. God is the potter and we are the clay. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Being that He is the Potter, He has the power and the ability to see beyond what we can ever see.  God desires to shape us into instruments fit for His divine work. However, He can not shape us into what He desires if we do not allow Him to. If we do not surrender our will to Him we will never truly experience His power or His will. As clay we are meant to be easily moldable, adaptable, mendable, etc.. We ought to be capable of being easily taken apart, and easily put together.

God is not limited by our personal human strength, for it is only in Him that our strength is full. Rather than presenting your strengths and abilities, inabilities, flaws, and capabilities to God let us ask Him for His will. We are the clay in His hands, therefore, we must allow Him to mold us however He pleases. Let us be humble and let us allow Him to rid us of all the things that aren’t pleasing to Him, that He may use us to the fullness of His might and will. Let the Potter do His will and work on you.
