1 John 4:11
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Do not believe everything or everyone that comes to you in the name of the Lord. Especially in these times where people are more concerned about how they can fill their stomachs than anything else, it is very easy to be deceived if you are not vigilant.
There are many false prophets. Many people who are wolves in sheep’s clothing waiting to see who they can devour. Do not fall prey to the lies of the many false prophets that the world has produced. Remain in God because it is only in Him that you will be safe. Remain in His word so that you do not become victim of the lies. Test every word with God’s word. His word is life and it is only in His word that you will find truth. Whatever you are told, whether from a prophet or a the average believer be sure to take it back to the word of God. Don’t be fooled. Run everything by the truth before you run with it. It is a dangerous time that we live in but if your eyes are set on the Lord, you are in safe hands.
