Luke 6:47-48
I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.
God’s word is a necessity in our lives. As a person does not go a day without water so should he not go a day without the word of God. The word is our very foundation, it is our anchor. It is the word of God that keeps us grounded, keeps us sane and keeps us alive. It is through the same word that we gain knowledge on our enemy, through this word that we learn how to fight the enemy. It is clear that it is through the word of God that we learn to live. The Word has every command every love song, every affirmation we need from the Lord, every rebuke and everything in between. It is His personal letter to us, A gift if you may.
We must stay grounded in the word that we may be built up and our faith. We must stay grounded in the word that we may be able to live as conquerors and as it does who understand the price that was paid for salvation. live in the word and apply it gracefully to your life.
