Psalm 23:1-2

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,”

The Lord is my shepherd I shall lack nothing. A scripture you can recite even in death, but the question is do you believe it. Do you believe that in Him you will lack nothing, or that in Him there is rest.

Do you believe that you even when you feel as though you have nothing, you have it all because in Him you lack nothing. The Lord grants rest to His children, but if you’re completely immersed in finding the things that you feel as though you are lacking you will never be able to indulge and take joy in that rest. It is important that as you journey in life you allow the Lord to lead you into rest. You can do nothing without Him and so if He leads you in a place where He orders you to rest take that rest because He gives rest for a reason. No matter who you are or where you are in your life recognize that rest is important. So as you go throughout the year, listen to the voice of God and take your rest when He orders it. However in everything that you do, do it as you’re resting in Him.
