May 19 Hebrews 12:8-9 NIV “If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live.” As a caring father, God has to discipline us. He cannot leave us to live our lives anyhow because we will destroy ourselves. He cannot be still and quite while we walk ourselves to damnation. Because He
