John 5:14
“Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.””
‭‭
How many of us receive our freedom and immediately return to the very thing we were saved from? Often times we are set free from certain things, we are healed and made whole from the very thing that held us bound but soon after our freedom we return to our vomit. Majority of us Christians think that our being liberated is a feeling therefore we operate in our emotions. For this reason we always find ourselves back in the same place because our flesh and emotions are the elements that speaks for us.

We have failed to realize that we ought to walk in our freedom and liberty every moment of our lives to remain free. Freedom isn’t a one time action that takes place. The initial state is that God delivers or free us from a particular thing and the very next state is that we WALK in it. Daily. When Jesus found the man in the temple,He brought his freedom to his attention and cautioned him not to do anything that will take him back to that state. (“See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”)

So you see when we receive our liberty it is then our duty to hold on to that liberty and put it to work. When you receive your freedom and time after time give yourself back over to sin you create an unnecessary state of bondage for yourself. What has the Lord set you free from? Answer this question and come up with practical things that you can do to avoid setting yourself up for sin or better still just giving yourself completely over to the flesh. The same God who saved you is able to sustain you. So whatever it may have been go and do that thing no more.
