Luke 11:9
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
The problem that most of us Christians have is our inability persist. We ask for something once or twice and give up. Even in prayer we pray for a few times and give up everything. Think of all the things in life that you may have lost because you didn’t commit it to prayer. There is power in prayer and even more power in persistent prayer. We have to build ourselves in a way that will enable us to keep pushing. We must learn not to give up or give in.
When you persist there is a strength that builds up within you. Strength that helps you stand in the face of every storm. Is there something that your are committing to God in prayer? Whatever it may be know that the Lord is able. Do not give up. Go deeper and further. Do not give in, push until you can push no more and even in those moments push some more. Asking, seeking, and knocking, is not a single days pursuit, It is something that we must keep at. Keep on moving and the Lord will meet you.
