John 8:12
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
If you’ll be honest with yourself, you’d realize that often times you look for the right things in the wrong places and at times the wrong things in the wrong places. This is true in many cases and it is also true in our Christian walk as believers.
In this world that we live in there is two sides. There’s the side of light and the side of darkness. On the side of light we receive life and that life is given through Christ Jesus alone. When you follow Christ and walk in Him, darkness takes a back seat. In Him is light and in light is life, and as scriptures says he gives life and life abundantly. When you have the option of light and darkness why choose darkness? Follow Christ and keep your eyes and your hearts on Him for in doing that you will have life. Do not be fooled you cannot be of the world and be of God at the same time, for light and darkness cannot co-exist. If you’re looking for light it can only be found in Christ. Therefore make sure you are looking for that light and life in the right places. In all things remember that though you are in this world you are not of this world.
