1 Peter 4:11
Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
In life no two of us are the same and no two of us will ever be the same. That’s is what makes our Lord so powerful. He is Mighty and worthy of all glory and praise, because He is so kind and merciful to the point that He has blessed each and everyone of us with a unique gift. Though we have been blessed we have a tendency of missing out on our blessings as well as being blessings unto others because we overlook our gifts. We get caught up the the pulpit gifts, the one gift that everyone craves for, and in so doing we throw away what we have if we don’t think it fits into the worlds view of great gifts.
It’s very saddening because God in His infinite wisdom knows what everyone needs. He also knows where everyone can thrive and has given us our gifts based what He knows about us, which is more than we will ever know about ourselves. Do not doubt yourself or what the Lord has given you. As a child of the Most High gifting comes with the position you have been given. Do not hide your gift out of false humility. Do not convince yourself because of your own insecurity. What ever it may be, whether it be writing, cooking, speaking, serving etc. Your gift will never be the same as someone else’s. Whatever you have been given take it and work it with the grace and power of God. He knows you, and what He has given you suits you, even if you don’t believe it. Trust Him and follow His lead.
