Become Foolish

July 23

Romans 1:21-22

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.”

‭‭A dangerous place to be in life is to know God and yet have absolutely no regard for Him. Many of us rely very heavily on our emotions in this walk. We trust and love God for a moment when things are going our way, but the moment life begins to taste sour, We immediately turn to other things. Some turn to other religions and gods. Others turn to their own mentally or physically created idols. Through this mindset and behavior, we turn from God and become futile.

When you turn away from God, you do yourself a great injustice. The further you turn away from God, the darker your heart becomes. You walk around thinking you have it all together, not knowing that you are walking dead. When you turn away from God, you have only one outcome, and that is destruction. It is in God alone that you can have the good things of life. Do not be foolish; if you turn away from God, you will become a very evident fool. Do not be deceived by the enemy. Knowing and having a relationship with the Lord is the greatest thing you’ll ever have.

Do not allow the enemy to deceive you against God. Having God as an enemy is far worse than having the devil as an enemy, therefore give your hearts and all you are to God and forsake anything contrary to Him.
