Matthew 18:6

““If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

Children are like sponges. They absorb and soak in everything that they see or hear. They innocently repeat the actions they see and the words spoken around them. As adults it is our responsibility to make sure we are filtering our actions when we have young ones around us. It is our duty to speak life and act in love and kindness for them to repeat. It is a painful sight when you hear a little child speak in foul words and doing unpleasant things because that is what they see around them.

We all have the responsibility of protecting the innocence of every child. This means we have to watch what we say what we do and how we react and respond in situations especially when we are around young children. We cannot be their protectors while being the ones who are killing their innocence. If you have children around you make it a part of your daily life to speak life into them. You have to intentionally speak the words of life into their souls because what they hear is what they will believe and eventually that is what they will begin to produce.

Therefore be careful because you will be held accountable if you lead any child astray whether intentionally or unintentionally. Do not see this as a burden but see it as a blessing. Look at it as a blessing that will help you because that will keep you on the right track.
