2 Thessalonians 3:11

“We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.”

Some of us are the reason why our churches aren’t growing, and for others we are the reason why our walk is so stagnant and fruitless. We go to our local churches and our local small groups and rather than living our lives as Christ did we instead begin to spread rumors and gossips about other church members or the leadership of the church. Rather than being those who build the church we have become the very hands that are destroying our churches. Yet still there are some of us who do not participate in anything. Who do not volunteer to be part of those bettering the church, yet we complain about everything and everyone.

There are others who are pure busybodies. They do not do anything significant yet they walk around carrying the whole world on their shoulders. They move around as though the are change agents  but in actuality they are stagnant and they cause others to fall into that same pit with them. As we see there are many different people within our churches and our Christian communities. If you fall under any of these, whether one who is idle, one who is disruptive, or one who is a busybody, repent and live a worthy life. We were not called to be the very hands that destroy the church but rather the hands that build it. Do your part as Christ enables you, and do all you can not to bring chaos into Gods kingdom lest you suffer loss for it.
