Mark 2:14
As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.
Answering the call of God is not as difficult as we sometimes make it. Often times it’s as simple as saying yes, getting up and going. The beauty of it all is that His call is not dependent on us or on our actions and deeds. It is solely depended on Him. That’s why scripture says that while we yet sinners He died for our sins.
At some point in our life’s we hear the call of God. We however are often the problem. It is not an issue of the Lord not calling us. The issue however is us not moving when we are called. We hear the call and we turn around and give all the excuses in this world. Rather than answering the call we ask for time to indulge in our lives a little longer and do what we want. We need to learn to follow the voice of God. His voice is what leads in the the right path and in the ways we ought to thread on. You must continue to follow Jesus, no matter what life looks like and even at this moment. Be vigilant and attentive because the Lord calls out to you. Do not miss His voice and do not overlook the things He reveals to you. Whenever you hear Him simply rise up and follow Him.
