1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
As a human being temptation is inevitable and this is true more so for the believer. As a believer one of the tactics of the enemy is to tempt you and draw you away from God. There are many temptations and many schemes that the enemy uses to draw people in. The enemy can tempt us with our weaknesses and in some cases even our strengths. He can tempt you by using the very thing that you feel is too irrelevant to pay attention to.
There is hope however that whatever temptation the enemy throws is old news to God and He is able to enable you to overcome it. Every temptation you find yourself battling with, Whether lust, or lie, or lack of self control, or anger, or jealousy, the Lord has what it takes to get you through it. Furthermore God will never allow you to be tempted beyond your ability. Therefore no matter what you’re going through. No matter what it is that has you bound, trust that you can overcome it because the Lord has given you power. Do not therefore give in, rather put up a fight and overcome that which is trying to overcome you. God will always give you a way out you only need to press on. Do not give up and do not give in to temptation.
