John 8:47
“Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
Have you examined yourself lately? Have you taken the time out to evaluate yourself and your walk, or even ask yourself who you truly believe in as well as belong to based on your life style and your character. Ask yourself this, do you hear what God says when He speaks? In other words do you hear not only what you think He speaks to you in passing, but also what He says to you in His word. Do you hear what the Bible says and do you follow it?
The word of God says “whoever belongs to God hears what God says….” and from this very statement we can conclude that if you do not hear what He says then you do not belong to Him. This is because one of the most beautiful ways God speaks to us is through His word, and as long as we’re reading our word and engaging with Him we will hear Him. The Bible is filled with Gods communication to us, from the very first page to the very last verse he is speaking to us.
The scripture continues to say “the reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” Again this is truth because if you belong to Him you will be wrapped up in everything that is of Him, His word being one of the greatest. Most of us always wonder why God isn’t speaking to us. The truth is that He speaks daily, we just cannot hear because we do not open our bibles to hear Him speak. That is the problem we have. Therefore if you belong to Him your bible becomes a part of you and your daily life, and by virtue you hear Him everyday because you put yourself in the position to hear. If you want to hear Him open your bible and you will be surprised.
