1 Corinthians 6:13
“You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.”
Imagine all the things you subject yourself to. Now imagine how simple, easy and different life would have been if you did not subject yourself to some of the things you subjected it to. For instance think of the unnecessary relationships you have subjected yourself to in the past (or even now in this very present day) and look to see the unnecessary emotional strain your have caused yourself as well as the strong sexual attachment you have bonded yourself to. Now ask yourself who owns your body, because not knowing the answer to this question is a recipe for self destruction.
The reason why most of us find ourselves so bound in sexual sins is because of the simple fact that we do not know who our bodies belong to. Some believe their bodies belong to them and with that lie they believe they can do what they want. On the contrary our body does not belong to us and we have no right to subject it to sin and filth. Our body is meant for the Lord. To be a Holy temple unto Him. Just as one cannot take a house that does not belong to them and sell it off to a merchant so we also cannot take our bodies and sell it off to sin and the world. Flee from sexual immorality because that is not what your body is meant for. Rather pursue righteousness and seek to live a Holy life, that is what is required of you.
