Proverbs 21:21
Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.
You reap what you sow. You get out of life what you put into it. Think about these things and ask yourself, are these statements true? Do I honestly receive what I put in? In some ways, we do get what we put in, and in other ways, we obtain what we have not worked for or what we do not deserve by grace. However, more often than not, you will find what you search for in life. If you are always looking for trouble and picking fights, that is always what you will find. If you seek to be a pain in someone’s life, that’s precisely what you will become. If you look for destruction, that is what you are going to find for yourself.
The same is true if you seek good things in this life. If you pursue righteousness, love, eternal life, peace, goodness, etc. that is exactly what you will find. If you want peace, do not go around looking for fights to pick. If it’s love, do not give hatred. As you pursue what you hope to acquire, you subconsciously give out that same thing. Search yourself and ask what am I seeking, and what am I giving out?
Pursue God and that which is of Him and all the goodness of the Lord will find you.
