Psalm 86:11
Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.
It is very possible to live in accordance with the word of God. The best way to live in the truth is to learn the ways of God. The best thing about being a child of God is that the Father takes His time to teach you His ways as well as gives you the strength to follow through in His ways. The best way to learn the ways of God is by indulging in His word. A Sunday school song that still proves true even to this day is “read your bible pray every day, pray every day read your bible pray every day if you want to grow….” It seems like a childish song we sang over and over, but it is one of absolute truth. The only way to grow is through the word and prayer. In addition to reading the word, we grow by listening to the word from true men and women of God who share and dissect the word to its very core.
When we have a pure heart, we can honor Him. We can put ourselves aside and look to honoring and adoring Him. Let our prayer be that the Lord will teach us His ways. We should pray that He will usher us into a relationship with Him, one in which we seek Him and His words above all else. Seek Him and allow Him to show Himself true in your life.
