Romans 14:12
“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.”
One thing that is inevitable in this life is our personal account to the Lord. We will all stand at the judgment seat of God and receive our judgment on every deed we have ever done. We will answer for every careful and careless decision we have ever made. Every selfish and selfless act, every pure and every foul speech, every good and every bad we have ever involved ourselves in must be accounted for. Nonetheless, very seldom do we consider this. Rarely do we remember that we will one day answer for our actions and inactions.
For this reason, many of us do what we do without thinking. We make decisions without consulting God and we do things that are outside of His character while calling ourselves His children and His followers. We look nothing like Him, we defame His name yet we announce to the world that we belong to Him. We live a life contrary to His words yet we parade as His followers. Our inconsistency as believers has sent many souls running from the faith, yet we think we are good.
I want to remind you that you will give account for all you have done on this earth. For every soul, you drew closer to God and every soul you pushed away from Him. Every soul you gave hope and everyone you unknowingly pushed into the devil’s hands. Yes, you are responsible for your brothers and sisters around you. Whether you like it or not people look up to you and some who are in the faith make their decisions based on what they see in fellow believers. So yes you will give account for everything.
Be mindful therefore of your actions and decisions. You cannot be for God one moment and for the devil the next. You cannot serve two masters, you must choose whom you will serve. Be careful and mindful of your actions and decisions because you never know who you are influencing positively or negatively.
