Ecclesiastes 11:5
“As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a motherʼs womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.”
The workings of His hands are Great and Mighty. Being as human as we are we often have the desire to know everything. We want to know why things happen, the in and outs and reasoning behind it all. We want to know the course of our lives, our trials, tribulations, victories, and successes all in its entirety, even before it happens. In wanting to know all these things we sometimes unconsciously become the god of our own lives. Forgetting the role God plays and the power that He truly possesses. Sad as it is, in some instances of our lives we begin to think that we are god and ruler of our destiny’s which causes us to take things into our own hands.
We need to realize that we are sons and daughters and as such we must take our place in God. We must surrender ourselves and our wills to Him and allow Him to be God. No matter what you do, you cannot take the place of God in anyone’s life or even in your own life. It is important that you know your place and stay in your place and let God be God.
You will not always know everything and that’s ok because you are not meant to know everything. What matters is that you belong to the one who knows it all, therefore, you are covered. There may be something in your life right now that is a pressing issue you do not understand. In any given situation you will want to take things into your own hands, but today I urge you to prayerfully turn everything over to God. You may not understand His ways but just know that His ways are perfect and if He is involved, every sea, every wind, and every storm will surely be silenced.
