Psalm 30:5 NLT “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
Almost always we find a way to displease God, even though at times we do so unintentionally. Whether it was a little white lie we told, or that coworker we refuse to speak to, or the family member we ignore out of annoyance, or even our decision to put everything before God. These are all ways we displease God and more. But He never stops being God. His mercies do not run dry and His grace does not waver. This is the God we serve. One who is a good good father. A father who never stops loving us even when we falter. One whose favor is ever abundant.
In life, there are many seasons and we each have our different seasons in this journey that we’re on. We have our peak season and our low seasons. Be encouraged as the word of God has said, indeed weeping may last through the night but Joy assuredly comes in the morning. Be encouraged that you Serve the faithful God. So if you’re in a low place take some time to think back on all the wonderful things that God has done for you. Reminisce on the fact that He has never failed. Reminisce on how far He has brought you in this life, at this very moment. Think back to all the places He has carried you from and be assured that He who did it then is more than capable of doing it now! He will carry you through. Just be steadfast and trust Him!
