Proverbs 13:20
“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
Whether we will accept it or not we are very much impacted by the people we surround ourselves with. Because of this, we must be mindful of the company we keep. Do not allow yourself to dwell in the mist of corrupted people. We must be wise when it comes to this. Dwelling in the mist of fools and corrupt people brings harm unto you because whatever harm befalls them will more than likely befall you just by mere association. We must not entangle ourselves with people whom we know cannot influence us in a good way.
Even still if we find ourselves entangled with such people we should always be the influencer allowing our light to shine but do not be influenced. The company you keep will always have an impact on you, whether you recognize the impact or not it is there. So let us exercise caution when it comes to the decisions we make concerning the company we choose to keep. Seek God about the people you keep close. Walk with those who are filled with the wisdom of and allow their wisdom and the grace of God lead you and usher you to a new place in Him.
