There’s always order to everything in this life. As much as there is order, there is also importance in the way things are executed. Some things you can get away with doing it however you want and others just won’t work if they aren’t in the order they ought to be in.
Let’s take this scripture for today James 4:7. 1: We are to submit ourselves to the Lord, 2: We are to resist the devil, 3: The devil will flee.
These particular elements must be done in the order in which we were given because it will not work any other way. We cannot expect the devil to flee when we have not submitted our minds, hearts, bodies, spirits, and souls to the Lord. It is through our submission to God that we are filled enabled and empowered to flee.
Ultimately the power to flee comes from God so first and foremost Let us get into the habit of submitting to Him. When we reach that place where we submit everything unto the Lord then resisting comes easier because you are now doing so in the power of His might, not in your own strength. Resisting and fleeing can be easy if we allow it to be. Submit to the Lord and in His might, we can do everything and overcome whatever we are faced with.
James 4:7
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
